July 19: Yosemite to Big Sur, CA

July 19: We got up early and headed to Big Sur State Park, which is to the south of San Francisco by about 150 miles, right on the Pacific Ocean. By noontime we had reached routine 1, which goes right along the coastline. When we stopped at a rest area to take look, it was SO windy that it blew two piece off our roof rack!! Since June 30, when we left Massachusetts, we have driven 5,459 miles... wow! We made it! :-)
